Brandi Lewis is a native of London Kentucky. She graduated from the University of Kentucky with a B.A. in Psychology in 1999 and earned her Juris Doctorate from Salmon P. Chase College of Law, at Northern Kentucky University, in 2003. While at Chase, she served as Vice President of the Moot Court Board and won Best Respondent's Brief in the Grosse Moot Court Competition.
Brandi was sworn in to the Kentucky Bar Association in 2003. She clerked for the Honorable Judge Roderick Messer in Laurel County Circuit Court immediately after graduating from Chase. From there, she went on to serve as an Assistant Fayette County Attorney in 2004 until 2007. Since that time, she has worked with the firm of Baldani, Rowland & Richardson. Brandi became a partner in 2012.
Brandi's practice is varied and includes all areas of family law, including but not limited to divorce, grandparents rights, custody, child support, time-sharing, pre-nuptial agreements, paternity, termination of parental rights, guardianship, abuse, neglect, dependency and extensive work as a Guardian Ad Litem for children.
Brandi's practice also includes criminal defense, ranging from violations, misdemeanors, to felonies, in both state and federal court.
Brandi also handles personal injury, nursing home neglect actions, wrongful death, premises liability, dog bite cases, slip and fall cases, general civil litigation, administrative law, business entity formation and dissolution, real property disputes, and creditor's rights, and appellate issues.
Brandi is affiliated with the Kentucky Association for Criminal Defense Lawyers (KACDL), as well as the American Bar Association, the Kentucky Bar Association, and the Fayette County Bar Association. She has a BV Distinguished® rating from Martindale-Hubbell® Peer Review Ratings™. The BV Distinguished® is an excellent rating. Brandi also has been an active volunteer with the Lexington Humane Society and has worked with the Animal Legal Defense Fund.In her spare time, Brandi enjoys hanging out with her son, Alex, and lab, Luna Mae.
