Mike was born and raised in Kenton County, Kentucky, in 1968.  He moved to Lexington in 1986 to attend the University of Kentucky, where he earned a Marketing Degree and completed Law School.  He has practiced at Baldani, Rowland, and Richardson since 1999 focusing on criminal defense, divorce, child custody and support, guardianship, and personal injury cases.

Prior to law school, Mike spent several years in the construction and restaurant industries.  This diverse experience has contributed to his skills and success as a trial lawyer and litigator.  Mike has successfully tried cases in District, Circuit, and Federal courts throughout the Commonwealth.  Although Family Law cases do not go to a jury trial, Mike has tried and mediated hundreds of Family Law cases before judges throughout Kentucky.  Mike has also written successful appeals when the rulings of the trial court did not accomplish his client's goals.

Mike has served as a member of the Fayette County Bar Association Board of Directors, a Member of the Family Law Section, and as Chair of the Criminal Justice Section.   He received the “Nick of Time “Award for his handling of a difficult child abuse case.  Often, Family Law cases involve a crisis, and Mike's clients trust him to help them navigate the unfamiliar waters of divorce and custody litigation.

When not working, Mike volunteers time as a coach for the YMCA, serves on the Beta Theta Pi Alumni Housing Board, and volunteers for various, local charities.  He makes presentations to local high school classes with the CARE Program.  Mike especially enjoys coaching his sons in baseball, basketball, and flag football.  For personal recreation, He plays lacrosse, softball, and golf.
